Frequently asked questions
Clear answers, before you decide.
Start with the essentials below. For a piece-specific question, contact the studio directly.
01
Does John Diamond create custom jewelry?
+
Yes. Begin with the private consultation form and include the occasion, general direction, working budget and any helpful references.
02
Can I order one of the past engagement-ring designs?
+
Past designs are shown as a record of completed commissions, not as products for sale. They can be used to discuss proportion, stone direction and details you are drawn to.
03
Which metals and stones are available?
+
Available materials vary by design. Live product pages list the offered configurations; custom requests are discussed individually.
04
What if I do not know the ring size?
+
Use the sizing guide as a starting point and contact John before ordering. Most rings can be resized if the design allows; John will confirm what is possible for your piece.
05
How long does a piece take?
+
Custom production takes 4–6 weeks after both the 50% deposit and final design approval. Shipping timing depends on the piece and destination; tracking is provided on dispatch. Collection availability and timing are confirmed for your chosen configuration.
06
Can custom jewelry be returned?
+
Custom jewelry is final sale. Workmanship concerns are handled separately; contact John to discuss the piece and the issue.
07
Do I need an appointment?
+
You can shop available pieces online without an appointment. A consultation is recommended for custom work, special configurations and sizing questions.
08
How do I contact the studio about an existing order?
+
Use the contact form and include your order number, the email used at checkout and a concise description of the question.
